Location
I work from rooms at The Light Centre in Belgravia, London SW1 on Thursday mornings between 8am and 2pm.
Initial meeting
Once we have agreed to meet, it’s good to have an initial consultation where we can further discuss what brings you to me and how we might work together. It is an opportunity for me to answer any queries you may have and also gives us some time to get a sense of how it would be to work together.
There is a nominal fee of £30 for this 50-minute consultation. There is no obligation to take things further, if you feel that I don’t match your sense of what you need, I can refer you on to another therapist or another service.
Sessions
Sessions are fifty minutes long, and once confirmed, are at the same time, usually on a weekly basis. It is not normally possible to reschedule sessions once we have found a mutually convenient time. Sometimes it is appropriate to work for just a few sessions and sometimes on a longer-term basis. Typically, we would review our progress after six sessions and then see if you’d like to continue into the longer-term. You can end our counselling at any time, ideally with advance warning, so that we can meet for some closing sessions to ensure we end in a safe way.
Our work together is confidential. However, there are some circumstances, detailed in the BACP’s Ethical Framework, when I am bound to break confidentiality. Any disclosure will never be acted on without consulting with you first.
Fees
My fees are £70 per session. Fees are payable in advance or on the day. If you’re a student or on a low wage, I can offer reduced rates.
